Hello,

The following post gives a list of things that can't performed using Java in 
GAE:

An application on GAE cannot write to the filesystem. It must Data Store 
instead.
=> I'm pretty sure that this restriction will  make impossible to run 
JackRabbit and Lucene on it.

I was just thinking this morning that I should just try uploading the
magnolia-empty-webapp-4.1-SNAPSHOT.war and see what happens :D
