Hi All,

I am trying to install the latest version of Magnolia (4.0.1) on WebSphere
6.1. I have downloaded the pre-configured WebSphere war file and deployed
it in the normal fashion on WebSphere.

The installation works and after it has completed I am able to log into
magnolia as the Superuser. However I am unable to log in as any other user.

I discovered in trying to create a new user that I needed to change some
settings in the configuration.

As per the following instruction

Please set the config:/server/defaultBaseUrl property to a full URL to be
used when generating absolute URLs for external systems.

I set the property, I also discovered that there is another property in
subscribers

Config:/server/subscriptions/magnoliaPublic8080/URL which I set to
http://10.50.131.227/magnolia <http://10.50.131.227/magnolia>

My WebSphere is running behind an IBM HTTP Server. Which redirects to 9080
from port 80.

I have only installed the one war file, so I don't have 2 separate instances
of the magnolia application.

I have found various instructions around and got very confused, if I rename
the war to magnoliaPublic I find that the war does not install at all and I
get WebSphere 404 not found error.

I am bit lost with all this installation process can anyone give me some
guidance?

Regards Wendy
