Hey Rainer,
if you are going to backport the rssaggregator to 3.0 you might want to
start from the 3.6 compatible branch (see [1]). It should be more less
up to date except for last few bug fixes which were not backported
there. The main difference will be that the update task provided by data
module 1.3 for registering custom item types will not exist in 3.0 yet
so you would have to use same task from the branch to do the job.
You will most likely also have to rewrite the paragraphs. Otherwise
there should not be any big obstacles in backporting the module.
