copy? If you are running tomcat, you can just drop war file in the webapps folder and tomcat will _extract_ it itself. If you have already previously installed Magnolia there, then you need to extract WEB-INF/lib folder from the war and replace existing magnoliaPublic.war/WEB-INF/lib with it. For most of the other application servers you probably should do deployment of the war file via their administration interface, unless you have them running in development mode. > other step needed?
