Hi Will, I would like to give you an overview of what we did.
In our project we need to extends the inheritance between attributes /
paragraphs.
We introduced other nodeData:
inherit: //default one
inheritanceBlocked: if true, every attempt to walk throught (towards
root) finding "parent" values will fail.
We added next the possibility to inherit properties even inside
paragraphs, not only on page-level, because our website structure
(modular reusable component) must be nested each inside the other and so
on, so, for example, you can inherit from a newsPager placed only in the
mainArea, not for another newsPager placed on a footerArea.
In the same way, we decide template-by-template wich areas can have
inheritance enabled.
This because our situation required that.
