No clue, but perhaps the complete stacktrace would be more helpful in finding out the workaround for the issue ... Other things that might be of interest: - is that instance upgraded from the previous version? - can any other data of the same type be exported without problems? - did you change type definition after the type was created (and some data using the type too)? - using any custom definitions in the type?
