hey All,

when I access the following site : http://demoauthor.magnolia- cms.com/

Then whatever I click, the right side stays empty.

Under Data it looks 'empty', but when I copy/and paste the text in
smulltron I see:

 demo-projectHomeHome09-06-04, 16:51
 demo-featuresHomeHome09-10-02, 06:09
 alex-Home09-10-02, 06:40
 test-Home09-10-02, 06:51

is there some CSS (m)issue going on??

Unlikely. The instance is fine right now. What happened most likely is
that someone editing it trashed it. For this reason the demo instance is
refreshed every few hours.

Second,
where can I find a list of plugins/module/extensions (not sure what
magnolia calls them)
Magnolia managed modules:
http://documentation.magnolia-cms.com/modules.html
3rd party modules: http://wiki.magnolia-cms.com/display/WIKI/List+of
+Magnolia+Modules

that are available for Magnolia? I was reading the faq and there was
no mentioning of anything.
Is Magnolia 'just' a CMS, or can it do more??

Depends on your definition of "just" :D

What about speaking URL management, shop system, FAQ systems, news
system,
RSS systems, content parsing (for example make every word 'XYZ' red),
Forums (I read forum is on a todo?), blog

Some of those features exists as modules for Magnolia, some can be added with little effort. All of what you mentioned have been done one way or
another in custom projects by people on this user list.

I am trying to figure out what the usecase is of Magnolia, eg, what
does Magnolia good out of the box.

The answer is simple: Web content management

Jan
