Yes, I made the config changes before I installed Magnolia. And I think the files in the repositories directory are index files. There was also a derby.log file and then I realised that I had only configured the magnoliaAuthor webapp and not the magnoliaPublic; so the magnoliaPublic webapp is still running on derby.
