Last week saw the completion of the first sprint for Magnolia 4.2 and
true to our agile development spirit we have released a milestone
build that you can play around with.
Form our roadmap for 4.2:
Magnolia 4.2 provides access to the Templates Repository introduced in
Magnolia 4.0 through WebDAV. This will provide a super-easy entry path
to Magnolia template creation that allows anybody to create, edit and
manage templates – no Java knowledge required. Additional changes:
• release Standard Templating Kit 1.2 with a host of minor
improvements and significant improvements regarding accessibility.
• migrate Public User Registration (PUR) to use the Magnolia form
module, add username and password validators and provide Standard
Templating Kit integration
• add a simplified node-builder API
• extend the Data Module to allow hierarchical data types
• update Jackrabbit to 1.6
