Hi Roelof Jan,

You can simply declare arbitrary template (sub)categories in your template definitions; if your template definition extends STKTemplate (class property of the tpl def), you might need to customize the TemplateAvailability class (/<site>/templates/availability - you should be able to register your own implementation there, with a class attribute)

Hi there,

Magnolia uses a mechanism with categories and sub-categories while resolving template availability for a node in the website tree. What would be the impact if I was to introduce my own categories and how could I enable this? The STK Book says I can, but is not quite clear to me how to go about.

Best regards, Roelof Jan
