Except there is a community contribution by Headwire which actually
provides that functionality in certain environments for JSP files.
Check out "Better Templating" on the wiki:

(search for jsp templating)

hello Linden
jsp files need to be on the file system, and can unfortunately not
be loaded from an arbitrary Reader InputStream (which would be
requred for loading templates from reposiotory nodes).
So, you can reuse your jsp's (for what it's worth) by placing them
in the webapp, but if you want to be able to maintain them in the
repository, you'll have to convert them to freemarker.

Hi all
Is it possible to set the “servername” property within the magnolia
config, rather than it getting it from the system on startup? (This
is useful when using a different domain name when accessing
magnolia, such as when proxying to it from another address)
Secondly, being able to edit templates within the web interface
using the templating kit is great. I’ve got a lot of existing jsp
templates on the file system, which I would like to add within the
templates node in the templating kit so I can also edit them
directly. Is this possible and how?
Thanks
