Hello,

Have you enabled the i18n content support at 
server:/i18n/content? 
Are you picking up the locale from the http request
sent by the client's web browser (then check your
browser preferred language list and move the German
before English) or are you using different url patterns 
way? Do you have both en and de entries in one tree?
Does the en field contain some value?
Have you seen
