Dear Magnolia User List, I am evaluating Magnolia 4.2.3 EE and ran into a problem, I hope some experienced Magnolians can help me out.
Versioning seems to work only with user of type "superuser". - This is even reproducible on the offical Magnolia Demo Environment (See Screenshot Magnolia4.2.3-Versioning.png) Has somebody experienced and solved that problem? The Catalina logfile says: (In our environment) 2010-03-23 16:11:38,416 ERROR info.magnolia.cms.core.version.ContentVersion : *Failed to retrieve user from version system node* info.magnolia.cms.security.AccessDeniedException: *User not allowed to Read path*[/jcr:system/jcr:versionStorage/10/5a/25/105a258f-0188-449e-bf95-81bd0b84362f/ 1.1.0.2/jcr:frozenNode/mgnl:versionMetaData] I can't believe versioning is a superuser-only feature, so it may be a configuration issue. We deployed 4.2.3 EE Evaluation Version and use MySQL for persistence on a Linux server. Is anybody using versioning as non-superuser? And what's up with that error on the demo site? Thanks in advance, Florian Fuchs ------------------- One notice on the packaged/downloadable 4.2.3 EE: It contains the errornous PUR 1.1.0 Module (http://jira.magnolia-cms.com/browse/MGNLPUR-40) and should be rebuilt with 1.1.1 (as suggested in JIRA).
