the headwire templating for magnolia supports this. You can choose a different design on any node and the subnodes inherit the design.

Well, since we're still working with JSP templates instead of the STK we have no problems with that either.

Hm... am I missing something?
The rights management of CE is very well capable of handling multiple sites. I can easily hide branch a for admin b and branch b for admin a.

Hi!

I was looking into this, and my estimation was the following:
- If Multi-Site is required only for the public view, then the Apache solution can be quite easy to implement In this case the different sites are available via different URLs, which are handled by apache mod_rewrite or mod_proxy, but the editors use one backend to edit all the sites data. So really, it is not real multi-site, apache is simply mapping the front-end URLs to different parts of the same big backend website. - If however Multi-Site is also needed in the Admin-Backend (i.e. separate editors with separate rights for the different sites), or if the sites have security requirements, then it will be more difficult to work with the CE…

I have apache in front of my application server but it’s not a viable solution if theme and templates are not resolved… And I can’t deploy X pair of authoring et public instance because of the load for each site.
And my enterprise can’t afford the 8500€/year licence of the EE…
Sorry, but I think I will have to take another cms solution for handling multisite. *De :* [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> [mailto:[email protected]] *De la part de* Jan Haderka

EE feature. If you wanted something similar in CE you would need to have apache in front to translate all URIs and have your own mechanism to resolve themes and template availability and ...

Hi all,
Just a noob question.
Is it possible to have multisite support in the community edition, or something similar ?
Or it is a specific feature of the ETK and enterprise edition ?
Thanks.
