Yes, it is.
Maybe you can consider to create a paragraph, instead, and reference it
wherever you want.
So, I would:
1) Create a new paragraph, maybe cloning a text-and-image paragraph,
e.g.: "externalWebappParagraph"
2) Create a new dialog, maybe cloning a new one, e.g.:
"externalWebappDialog"
3) Reference it in a existing template definition, maybe in "mainArea"
4) Remove unnecessary information from dialog (clean it for user experience)
5) Create a new .ftl file and reference it correctly in paragraph definition
Ready!
After every step, test it into your site.
