Hi Magnolians,

I think this may be a possible bug in the STK bootstrap process; however, I
wanted to discuss the issue here before I raise it.

I am in the process of converting an existing bespoke spring web application
to use Magnolia with the STK and Blossom modules. All has been going well;
until I started looking into the authentication process where I've found
that the STK seems to be a little too dependent on the PUR.

As I already have a suitable solution, I'd rather not add the PUR
unnecessarily; however when I try to run Magnolia without PUR I get a number
of exceptions during the bootstrapping process, stating:

Can't set property [modelClass] to value
[info.magnolia.module.publicuserregistration.frontend.action.RegistrationMod
el] in bean [info.magnolia.module.templating.Paragraph] for node
/modules/standard-templating-kit/paragraphs/pur/stkPURIntranet due to
info.magnolia.content2bean.Content2BeanException:
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:
info.magnolia.module.publicuserregistration.frontend.action.RegistrationMode
l

I've noticed that the STK module definition states that the PUR is an
optional dependency - which I agree with, so is this therefore a bug in the
bootstrap process? Or should it actually be the case that if I install the
STK, I must install PUR as well?

Cheers,

Brad
