Let me know how it goes. If we can make out of it something useful for everybody it would be great. I looked into the topic at the time i wrote this blog, but found out that it would not be so easy to provide something suitable to wider community because it all depends on properties and variables of each workflow which could have defined different names in workflow definitions written by different people.
Although I should warn you that we are thinking about migrating to another workflow engine as java version of OpenWFE is not actively developed anymore. (One of the reasons why we haven't moved away yet is that we would need to provide migration process for all existing workflows).
