My guess would be that first time you executed the search accidentally the repository you were searching on was not a website. Since indexing is done asynchronously, there is slight chance that you might hit the few ms window after making the change before seeing the result in search, but I doubt that this was the case. My bet is on the human factor, tho if you manage to reproduce the problem consistently, please open an issue in jira with the instructions on how to reproduce it.
