ps if n1 is interested, custom saveHandler was not the way to go, I've simply
created my own button tag instead of the standard cms:button, which allows you
to specify a nodeCollectionName as well. Works like a charm;)

Subject: [magnolia-user] custom save path for dialog

Hi list,

we have added a standard meta data dialog to our base wrapper template, so each
page displays 2 buttons in the mainbar to open dialogs: one to open the
metadata dialog and one to open a custom dialog based on the view type rendered
within the base wrapper template, eg an address dialog for an address view.

I would like to save the data for the metadata dialog in a custom place: not
directly under the content of the current page but under content/metadata/ etc

I'm thinking I'll have to implement a custom savehandler, am I correct ? and if
so what should I override?

regards
Hans
