What you need in this case is to setup the cluster, not connect to remote DB. You can't share DB connection between repositories if those are not clustered. What I would suggest is to always export your changes to the bootstrap files and have those committed as part of your module to version control. This way other can get your changes too and you can be sure they will be there also when module is installed in test environment. On top of that you can also track down all the changes to the person who made them together with the comment on why such changes were made. > > Can we have an option to configure the derby(flat file)dB to be authorized on > other remote system in network?? > > Jan, > As per your link, I could find conversion of derby to Oracle, mySQL and > others but I want it for same dB but to change its path The page tells you all you need to know about DB configuration. If you want to connect to derby remotely instead of using it as embedded DB, it is exactly same as if you wanted to connect to other remote DB - change the configuration file appropriately to point to this remote DB and install Magnolia ... or if you want to change existing installation, follow the steps described on that page. ... and if you find anything missing on that page ... it's a wiki, so please update it and add the missing things or in the very least comment on the page so others can improve it.
