Is it the resized images that get blurred or the originals are blurred when downloaded via Magnolia? Can you provide url as rendered on the page to such an image? If the first is the case, it might be an issue with the imaging module. You might want to open a support issue. If the second is the case, it might be that some proxy between the server and the client is closing the connection before image gets fully downloaded.
