OK, multi-tree seems to be a good aproach in this case, unfortunately we
already have the single-tree multilanguage setup (also with not exactly
matching trees for all languages, btw).

I guess I'll have to estimate if the implementation of such a feature
would be feasible, adding an additional i18n-support for a new localized
node-data where the URL-part can be overridden and will also be rendered
accordingly by default using the i18n-contentsupport interface. Otherwise
we'll probably have to stick to english page names, in my personal opinion
it should not be an issue.
