Hello all,

I'm currently working on our Magnolia backup strategy using the Magnolia Backup
module [0]. We would like to be able to restore a dump from one DTAP
environment [1] to another, mainly from the production environment to the
acceptance test environment. (We might also want to restore to a development
environment for instance to debug a problem with a particular set of content.)
We'll want to do this every 1-2 weeks to keep the content in our acceptance
test environment current.

The restore procedure [2] looks fairly complicated and involves quite a number
of manual steps. I'll look at automating this as much as possible for our
setup, but I'm wondering what steps need to be carried out to be able to
restore a dump from a production environment to another environment. We have
magnolia.properties files outside of the web application directory, but apart
from that I guess maybe some information in repoConf.zip might also have to be
changed when restoring to a different environment? If someone has done restores
to different environments before or if you know about the way these dumps work,
I'd like to hear your experiences. Is this even possible at all?

Nils.
