Karl, Did you check out just the magnolia-empty-webapp folder, or the complete project ? If the former, that might be a reason for problems. If the latter, could you turn Maven debug logs on (-X in terminal, I assume you can set that flag somewhere in Eclipse) and copy the complete logs.. on http://pastie.org for example ? (then copy the link here, please do not post long logs in this thread)
