Hi Richard, Many thanks for your response. I have no problem using STK, it's just that the client doesn't want to see the 'Made with Magnolia' logo anywhere. And of course, clients being clients, doesn't want to pay for the Enterprise version.
But I'm not clear on why STK is necessary, if you're not going to use its templates. Can't I do all the things you mention - user freemarker, store images and css in the DMS, publish from Author->Public - without STK? Also many thanks for the SimpleMedia module. I'll take a look. I had no idea there were 'modules' out there like there are 'plugins' for Joomla or Wordpress, that are already made, free, and ready to use. I have to implement a news section, for example. Do you know of any News Modules out there? I'll take a look. Many thanks for the helpful answer.
