Dear Magnolians

We often get the request for blog functionality in our Magnolia projects. We
already implemented some blogs with Magnolia (using PUR), but they're all
hacks...

I have seen posts on this mailing list and JIRA issues asking for the same, so
before we start a real, proper Blog module I wanted to ask you guys. I'm sure
there are useful Blog implementations out there. Anyone willing to put their
project on the forge? I know there is the commenting feature in ETK, but maybe
there is some STK based module too?

Standard blog features (IMHO):
- Editor publishes an article (as a page -> good for indexing, permanent link)
- Visitors can add comments to the article. Configurations:
        - User needs to register and log in (yes/no) in order to leave a comment
        - Comments are published directly or sent to a moderator for publishing
- In order for the comments to be in the search index of Magnolia's simple
search, it would be nice if the comments content would actually be added to the
page (as paragraphs)
- Replying to a comment (editor only) should be possilbe
- Deleting or editing a comment most likely too
- Listing for the newest comments (abstracts)
- Link list per year and month

Advanced blog features:
- Categorization/Keywords/Tags (I think that should be a regular page feature
and not something blog-specific though)
- Pingback (http://www.hixie.ch/specs/pingback/pingback)
- Blogroll

Any takers?

-will
