You got me curious, so here's a not-so-practical proof this could work, at least with Tomcat.
You'll need to have enabled jmx, a shell access and JMXTerm from http://wiki.cyclopsgroup.org/jmxterm
$ java -jar jmxterm-1.0-alpha-4-uber.jar openWelcome to JMX terminal. Type "help" for available commands. $>open 29886 (this is the process-id of Tomcat - you can find the available ones with the "jvms" command) #Connection to 29886 is opened $>bean Catalina:host=forum.magnolia-cms.com,path=/,type=Manager (you can list available mbeans with the "beans" command) #bean is set to Catalina:host=forum.magnolia-cms.com,path=/,type=Manager $>run listSessionIds #calling operation listSessionIds of mbean Catalina:host=forum.magnolia-cms.com,path=/,type=Manager #operation returns: D19EBA3CBF42F837E09B802400F01C67 $>run expireSession D19EBA3CBF42F837E09B802400F01C67 #calling operation expireSession of mbean Catalina:host=forum.magnolia-cms.com,path=/,type=Manager #operation returns: null $>
.. and bang, I was logged out of the forum ;) -- Context is everything: http://forum.magnolia-cms.com/forum/thread.html?threadId=f2e24c6e-ddff-4b9a-8171-ff4411768d64 ---------------------------------------------------------------- For list details see http://www.magnolia-cms.com/community/mailing-lists.html To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <> ----------------------------------------------------------------
