No worries,  I didn't paste my logs as I thought it was pretty clearly 
described by Stefan, but I can see why someone reading this on a mailing list 
will not have the correct context.

As it turns out, this is because the repository directory is created within the 
deployed webapp, so when a Maven clean is performed, this directory will be 
destroyed.  So, in order to avoid this from happening, you can change the 
following property in your webapp magnolia.properties:

magnolia.repositories.home

and point that to a directory outside your deployed webapp.
