Hello Will, sorry for my english ... it´s not the best. how you *.pom look like?
I had the same problems in the beginning. It happens when i build all modules from source. Normally you have one pom for your project and another one for your module. The rest should be handled by maven. Look at the attachements as an example where you version and other parameter should be replaced when you build your project. Hope it helps.
