Dear Will - thank you very much for your reply. The business you are working with sounds very like ours, but bigger. We only have one system to migrate (though it publishes several journals).
Questions! I will limit myself to the main ones. 1. It would be really helpful just to see an example of another publisher doing what we want to. Can you post a link? 2. How long has it taken you to migrate one legacy system over to the new repository and set up the authoring workflow? 3. How have you organised your node tree in the repository? Our first thought was: Publication - Issue -- Article. But articles can re-used in second and third publications, in their corresponding emails, and also could appear in multiple sections within a publication's web pages. 4. We have an existing Spring framework for authentication and authorisation (eg determining whether a user is entitled to view a publication, and hence an article) that we want to integrate with. Have you done this? Is it straightforward? Many many thanks in advance, W. -- Context is everything: http://forum.magnolia-cms.com/forum/thread.html?threadId=de3e3882-bf8a-4b78-bbf2-df325757cc62 ---------------------------------------------------------------- For list details, see http://www.magnolia-cms.com/community/mailing-lists.html Alternatively, use our forums: http://forum.magnolia-cms.com/ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <[email protected]> ----------------------------------------------------------------
