Dear Magnolians We have two customers which are running Magnolia with Derby DBs on Ubuntu systems (one of them temporarily until the proper DB is set up, the other one permanently). Still get the famous "Too many open files" error despite the fact that they followed all the tricks in the book [1].
Both are running Ubuntu in a virtualized environment. For one of them I have more specific info: Ubuntu Version 2.6.32-5-686 vSphere 5 ESXi 5.0.0 Build 702118 Hardware Revision 8 VMware Tools Build 702118 Has anyone had any positive or negative experiences on such a setup? Can you suggest a solution?
