Hello Christian You might also have the same result if the anonymous user is redirected to YOUR login page but then doesn't have enough access to do so, so they get redirected to the standard magnolia login form.
So it seems that there is something wrong with your configuration. If you actually compare it to how the protected area is set up in our demo public [1] you will see that the anonymous role has read access for / in the website ACL but deny access for members-area/protected* in the URL ACL.
