Hello Paul You most likely mean the fix for BUILD-72 [1]. So since you mentioned SVN, are you sure you are running a 4.5.3? Because the mentioned JIRA issue is fixed for POMs v23 and Magnolia 4.5.2 still uses POM v22. Are you running the latest nexus/maven plugin (1.9.2.4)? [2] Maybe you have also run into BUILD-108 [3] especially check out Matt Dertinger's comment there.
