Hi all! It seems we have run into some issues with activating data nodes that contains mgnl:contentNodes as child nodes. The mgnl:contentNode will not get activated unless you use the "Activate inc. sub pages". This is confusing for the editors as there are no sub pages to the node that they are trying to activate.
Looking at this conversation http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg03284.html it seems that that is working as intended. The tree configuration for the data type controls which item types will be included and default the mgnl:contentNode is not listed. With this in mind we added mgnl:contentNode to the list of itemTypes for our data tree and when we activate *new* data items the mgnl:contentNodes are activated without needing to use the recursive activate command. However, this is only true for new data items. Already existing items can no longer be activated but instead shows an error that says: "can't version: null". Anyone got some thoughts on this?
