Dear Magnolians I've been trying to get the i18n settings right on a Mag 4.4 EE instance for quite some time now, but don't know, if it's me or if I discovered a nasty bug. Here's the setup:
- take a plain vanilla Mag 4.4(.6) EE with STK - since I did not have a "demo-project" site definition, I added it with a mapping for /demo-project - I let this site definition extend the "default" site definition, which has "en" set for defaultLocale and fallbackLocale - I then added an i18n node in my "demo-project" site too, setting defaultLocale and fallbackLocale to "de" After setting things up, I would expect "de" to be the default language, so that a "title" for instance gets written into the "title" property when german is selected as language in the authoring... and "title_en" when english is selected. The result however is: - Judging by the url, german is the default language -> when switching to english I get a /en/ in the path. - When entering the data, everything seems to be fine... The dialog displays the correct language labels next the the field names. => However english is still stored in "title" and german in "title_de" => The english title is never displayed (because "title_en" is nowhere to be found) => Cutting the "extends" chain does not change anything => Changing the defaultLocale and fallbackLocale of the "default" site definition to "de" solves the problem. When snooping a bit through the code I found out that DialogMVCHandler has a i18nAuthoringSupport which uses the default locale. So is there something wrong with my configuration? Unlike the content support (config:/server/i18n/content) there is no specific ETK/multisite version of the authoring support, right? Thanks for the help... I'm really lost on this one! -will P.S.: Tried to replicate this on 4.5 (on demoauthor.magnolia-cms.com) and it worked there. -- Context is everything: http://forum.magnolia-cms.com/forum/thread.html?threadId=423a19aa-acef-44e3-989d-6fc8c709a9de ---------------------------------------------------------------- For list details, see http://www.magnolia-cms.com/community/mailing-lists.html Alternatively, use our forums: http://forum.magnolia-cms.com/ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <> ----------------------------------------------------------------
