javadoc for this class also tells you to use LinkUtil instead.
@deprecated since 4.0 use {@link LinkUtil} instead
but I don't think the solution is so simple. I would suggest that easier
(compared to processing node structure yourself) is to let rendering engine do
it for you and you just write a template variation for the page that would
produce desired xml output instead of html one.
