Hello, that's weird as the Magnolia Solr module 3.0 3.0 RC5 you're working with is known to install without any problems. The exception you're getting has to do with [url=http://documentation.magnolia-cms.com/reference/module-mechanism.html#Javaobjectcomponents]Magnolia mechanism to instantiate Java objects[/url]. Magnolia Solr module (not yet released as final) actually depends on solrj (the Solr Java client) 3.6. Could you please report this issue on http://jira.magnolia-cms.com/browse/MGNLSOLR with some details more (i.e.. complete stack trace)?
