We are experiencing the same issue after upgrading from 4.4.3 to 4.4.11-jr24.

When clicking "View" on the Log Viewer page, the interface returns a "Invalid 
file path." error. When clicking "Download" on the Log Viewer page, a blank 
page is displayed. Nothing related to either of these actions appears in any of 
the log files, even when the 
"info.magnolia.module.admininterface.pages.LogViewerPage" logging level is set 
to "ALL."

In magnolia.properties, the path to the logs folder is set correctly. There are 
no non-ASCII characters appearing in the log folder's path. Application logging 
is working correctly, so Magnolia is able to write to files in the directory. 
The drop-down list on the Log Viewer page accurately lists the logs files 
present in the logs folder, so the application can definitely see the 
directory's contents.

Any suggestions on how to approach this problem would be greatly appreciated.
