Hi, we have the exact problem for one of our applications where we've used the data module. This kind of "breaking" change with no obvious supported solution seems a little bit strange to me regarding the release cycle of Magnolia 4.5.x. Why is such a change depending the node structure not introduced for 5.0 which required updates anyway?
As there are only a few items stored in the data module, I'm considering to drop the data module completely at the moment. Didn't feel "right" from the start...
