Hi, not all modules depend on fckeditor or other legacy UI modules (guy, admininterface) but certainly lots of them do, therefore we created the admininterface-legacy module to ease to transition from 4.x to 5.0 UI http://wiki.magnolia-cms.com/display/DEV/Concept+-+Legacy+admininterface I don't know exactly when Blossom will be available for 5.0 but I am pretty sure it will be and rather soon I guess (Tobias Mattson will certainly be more precise here).
