Dear Magnolians I guess I will be annoying you with a bunch of Mag 5 questions in the coming days – and I guess the community will not be able to provide much of the answers as Magnolia 5 is new to all of us. But maybe the Magnolia team will be able to help and will also see where the problems in real life projects currently are. So thanks for all who contribute.
[b]First problem: How do I get the contents of my DMS to the new DAM.[/b] Things have changed quite a bit (e.g. "mgnl:asset" node type) so I was hoping to see a special import feature for "legacy data". The release notes however are telling me that this was wishful thinking: "We recommend that you wait until release 5.2, which is due later in 2013, before updating your project. The 5.2 release will include migration scripts, migration support and migration documentation." Is there some trick? It's not very practical do download each file individually and upload them to the new DAM.
