Did you check if the anonymous user on the public instance has access to the workspace? The anonymous rule from author is not the same like this on the public instance.

When i do this, everything works, just the anonymous user couldn't post a new comment. I see [code]magnolia.module.commenting.frontend.action.PageComments: Failed to access comments node with message: Access denied[/code] in my log file. When the online user is logged in, it works. So have someone a hint for me, what's here the problem? I use Magnolia CE 4.5.9.
