As to your question, what you need to do is 1) duplicate and adapt the existing website JCR Browser app at /modules/ui-admincentral/apps/websiteJcrBrowser 1.1) say you want to create a JCR Browser app for contacts, you will rename the duplicated node as e.g. contactsJcrBrowser 1.2) point /modules/ui-admincentral/apps/dataJcrBrowser/subApps/browser/workbench/workspace to contacts 1.3) rename the label property to something like "JCR Contacts" 2) Add your app (a content node whose name is contactsJcrBrowser in this case) to the appLauncher /modules/ui-framework/config/appLauncherLayout/groups/tools/apps, 3) reload AdminCentral Your newly created JCR Browser app should now appear under Tools.
