Hi Cedric, you can't mix old dialogs with new field types. And you won't be able to point old uuid link control to DAM since DAM has different structure. The only options you are left with as long as you need old data module is to either store images also in data module or to store them in resources workspace or in some custom workspace.
However, in 5.0, you can register as many custom types as you need directly w/o need for data module itself (have a look at contacts and contact app for example) so you should be able relatively easily migrate your data type to same custom type in 5.0 and configure app for it that will point to DAM for images same as contacts app does. There are extra benefits to it such as having separate workspaces for different types and more.
