Hi Vincent,

AFAIK the jcr:root (/) node of a workspace has a special node-type, and I'm not
sure you can directly set properties on it (I haven't tried).
Also, since / is never associated with any page, you will have trouble calling
up the page-editor for it, and thus won't be able to open the dialog you want.

Why not set this property in one well-known location (eg /home or something
like that)? You can still access this property from any page in the website
under the path /home, and can integrate the field for setting it in the page
properties dialog for the template used by this page...

Regards from Vienna,

Richard

Betreff: [magnolia-user] Setting properties on the root (/) node of website?

Hello all,
I need to be able to set a string variable that is accessible to every page in
the website repo.
Is it possible to create a node under website called "/" that every page would
inherit a property from? Bad idea ? Better way. My main issue is that I'd like
to be able to set this variable using the great magnolia dialogs if possible
Magnolia 4.5.8 , Blossom 2.x
Thanks,
Vincent
