Jörg, Will, I'm kinda surprised references are not supported. I see the @Bean annotation has "proxy" and "uuid" properties, but I don't know what they're for just yet. Maybe look into that ? If that's not what it's for, it seems like maybe that'd be useful improvement.. and who knows, with a bit of digging, not that hard to do ;)
