Hello everyone, i would like to ask for a help regarding best practises to start developing our site.
Right now we are considering using magnolia as cms for our site. We will need to change few things a little thought and here my problems start. We want to create a site, that for example uses external database for login. We have a service, that we can call for login/logout. After some reading i found out, that i will probably have to change PUR and to add some custom method, that will do the service call. I checked the magnolia academy and some guides, but i was not succesfull in devising how to do this properly. So far i have installed magnolia CE on server and i was able to set up a new project using eclipse and maven. And here is my question. Are we supposed to add a custom module extending PUR to the project, put our code here, and use this compilation? I can imagine this working, but what if i need other module changed? If we create yet another new compilation, is there a way to preserve all the data and customization we already have running? What is the best way to set up a site, that might change from time to time (i mean we will need some custom modules). Iam very sorry if you find my question stupid, but i was not able to find an answer that would satisfy me. Have a nice day and thanks in advance for any help.
