For those interested in the solution "not having to create a JCR Browser":
if you're looking for the path of a specific user, usergroup or role, you can go on the relevant node in the admin panel, and double click to see the edit view (a dialog to edit the node). In that pop up window, you will be able to find out the path & repository for this node (see attached screenshot).
