Thanks for your reply, that's exactly what I'm doing, extending ConfiguredFieldDefinition to provide dynamic behaviour based on the item's properties (or its ancestors properties). More important is the second case - in Employee edit dialog displaying select with roles specific for Workplace, where Employee is (path to the roles is a property of the Workplace).
The bottom line is: Is there a way to acces jcr node from field definition class?
