Hi Robert,

I definately would *not* downgrade. Instead, I would look at the CMIS module
and talk to magnolia inc:
- adapting the CMIS module to work with v5.0 is probably not a big deal
- magnolia will probably do this themselves in the next few months - they're
working very hard at making magnolia 5 feature complete...

If all you need is JCR, perhaps modeshape is a solution for you: ModeShape is a
JCR implementation from the jBoss.org people, and you may be able to get
commercial support for it.

However, I would consider looking at magnolia more closely to see if it can't
solve more for you than just the JCR storage. Magnolia is a very powerful,
customizable CMS solution, and I find it hard to imagine that there are not
more features you could use in your project... (for example, magnolia provides
built-in staging for your JCR content with an authoring and a public system).

Regards from Vienna,

Richard
